Patrick has always loved the outdoors. It is no surprise that landscapes would be at the center of his work.

A relatively self taught photographer, he considers himself to be a perpetual student, always seeking a new perspective, technique, or skill. Often finding them in the most unconventional ways. Necessity being the mother of invention. He attributes his composition skill more to a painter friend than any schooling received. The need to use techniques like, Panorama, HDR, and Long exposure, to convey the incredible detail of the land are added skills since his days with film. He is also adding post production skills, required in these digital days.

In 2005 when he had the opportunity to visit the Navajo Reservation, his love for the outdoors became more intense than ever. And after a long hiatus, he decided to pick up the camera once again.

The southwest, but especially the Navajo Reservation, is his main focus; now expanding into portraiture and night photography. A complete love and respect for this culture and land is what he is attempting to show in his photographs.

He hopes you will journey with him as he captures these rarely seen and often disappearing sites.
